ATLANTA — Gov. Nikki R. Haley of South Carolina is the daughter of immigrants, favors free markets and global trade, and earned international attention for speaking out against the Confederate battle flag in the aftermath of the 2015 massacre at a black church in Charleston. During Donald J. Trump’s presidential campaign, she sharply criticized his demeanor and warned what it might mean for American diplomacy — even suggesting that his tendency to lash out at critics could cause a world war.

But on Wednesday, Mr. Trump named Ms. Haley as his choice for ambassador to the United Nations, a move that will probably serve to both assuage and confound the president-elect’s critics, raising questions about the tone and direction of his foreign policy. As an Indian-American woman, she would also add ethnic and gender diversity to the appointments, so far predominantly of white men, he has made to other top posts in the administration.

In a statement, Ms. Haley said she had accepted Mr. Trump’s offer because she felt good about South Carolina’s economic standing. She added that this month’s elections had brought “exciting changes to America.”

“When the president believes you have a major contribution to make to the welfare of our nation, and to our nation’s standing in the world, that is a calling that is important to heed,” the statement said. Little is known about how Ms. Haley views America’s role in the world. But an equally important mystery is what her clout might be in the Trump administration. Photo

Has Mr. Trump placed her in a post he considers marginal? Or will Ms. Haley — along with a still-to-be-named secretary of state — be able to temper the more radical views of Mr. Trump’s other aides?

Despite the unknowns, many diplomats, scholars and rights advocates who have been anxiously awaiting Mr. Trump’s choices were relieved at the announcement. They saw in Ms. Haley, a daughter of Indian immigrants, someone unafraid to express her beliefs even if they differ from Mr. Trump’s.

“If confirmed, we hope she will raise that voice on behalf of the world’s most vulnerable people who suffer from hunger, violence and injustice around the world,” the advocacy group Oxfam said in a statement.

Many diplomats said they saw Ms. Haley as something of an enigma, whose views on the world have not yet been publicized.

But her stance is public on a few issues — including the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, refugees, and reproductive rights — and they offer a window into how she may carry out her role.

She signed state legislation to thwart a pro-Palestinian disinvestment campaign against Israel, known as Boycott, Divest, and Sanction, or B.D.S. — which made Israel one of the first to welcome her nomination for the post. Photo

Ms. Haley has expressed concern about the security checks in place for Syrian refugees resettled in her state, but she is not among those Republican governors who have sued the Obama administration to block resettlement.

She describes herself as “pro-life” and has supported legislation in her state to restrict abortion rights. That position raises questions about whether the United States would reimpose a funding ban on groups that promote family planning overseas, and to what extent the United States would undermine a key United Nations goal to advance sexual and reproductive rights.

The reaction from Republicans in South Carolina’s congressional delegation on Wednesday demonstrated the broad appeal Ms. Haley has earned among conservatives statewide and in Washington. Senator Lindsey Graham, one of Mr. Trump’s harshest critics in the past, praised the nomination, writing on Twitter that Ms. Haley would be a “strong voice for UN reform and stand for American interests throughout the world.”

But others tempered their admiration for Ms. Haley with concern about whether her public service credentials, which are limited to South Carolina government, would translate to the world stage.

“My very practical reaction is that she’d be the least experienced U.N. ambassador in the history of the country,” said Bakari Sellers, a CNN commentator and a Democrat who befriended Ms. Haley when they served together in the State House of Representatives. “You go from Samantha Power” — the current United Nations ambassador — “who was very well versed in foreign policy and our geopolitical relationships, to Nikki Haley, who hasn’t been in that depth ever.”

Ms. Haley’s admirers note that she repeatedly traveled abroad as governor to promote the state as a desirable place for investment. Her highest-profile trip, perhaps, was a 2014 visit to India, the birthplace of her parents. Her husband, Michael, has served in Afghanistan as an officer in the South Carolina National Guard. Photo

More generally, Ms. Haley has overcome concerns that she would be a one-dimensional insurgent outsider, similar to worries that dog Mr. Trump. Her 2010 campaign was given a major lift by an endorsement from former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska, the polarizing darling of the Tea Party movement. But Ms. Haley has forged a middle path that embraces the conciliatory racial attitudes favored by the left and the business-friendly ethos of the right.

This balancing act faced perhaps its greatest test in June 2015, after nine African-Americans were shot and killed at the historically black Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston. The white supremacist charged in the massacre, Dylann S. Roof, had posed with the Confederate battle flag in pictures. And for years, blacks and liberals in South Carolina had pleaded with the conservatives who dominate the state government to take the flag down from a prominent spot it occupied in front of the State Capitol.

Ms. Haley, the first ethnic minority and first woman to be elected as the state’s governor, had previously sided with fellow Republicans, who argued that the flag was not a racist symbol.

But the Charleston massacre hit home personally. She had been a friend of State Senator Clementa C. Pinckney, a Democrat and pastor of the church, who was one of the dead. Ms. Haley had a change of heart.

“I couldn’t look my son or daughter in the face and justify that flag flying anymore,” Ms. Haley told The New York Times in June 2015.

At her urging, and after much passionate debate, the State Legislature agreed to remove the flag.

Ms. Haley was born in the small city of Bamberg, S.C., to immigrants from Punjab State in India. She has said the locals in South Carolina were often unsure of her place in what is often a Southern binary of black versus white. When Ms. Haley was about 5, she and her sister entered a Little Miss Bamberg pageant where, traditionally, a black queen and a white queen were crowned. Photo

The judges decided the sisters fit neither category, so they were disqualified.

From a young age, Ms. Haley worked for her family’s clothing business, and she eventually received an accounting degree from Clemson University. She was elected to the State House in 2004.

In 2009, she declared she was running for governor and prevailed despite lingering biases. A Republican state senator at the time called her a “raghead” on a radio show. A Democratic state representative said that voters did not consider her a minority, but more of a “nice conservative with a tan.”

Ms. Haley, a nimble campaigner who is equally at home among C.E.O.s and denim-clad bikers, easily won re-election in 2014, arguing that her maintenance of South Carolina’s anti-union, low-regulation atmosphere had been the key to an economic comeback. Under her leadership, the state continued looking beyond its boundaries, very often abroad, to attract new industries to replace a fading textile industry.

It is a record that might seem at odds with Mr. Trump’s skepticism of global trade deals and his promise to subject imports from Mexico and China to steep tariffs.

But there are other areas of agreement. In 2014, Ms. Haley criticized federal plans that would force power plants to cut carbon emissions.

Also like Mr. Trump, Ms. Haley has weathered accusations of sexual impropriety without suffering at the polls. In her first run for governor, two Republican operatives made separate and unproven accusations that they had sexual encounters with her. She strongly denied the assertions.

A few years later, Ms. Haley was among those rumored as a potential running mate for Mitt Romney, then a Republican presidential candidate.

She said she could not do it because there was too much to be done at home in South Carolina. But she acknowledged that opportunities sometimes arose. “I’ve never been a planner,” she said. “I don’t know what’s next, and I love not thinking about it because the doors open at a certain time.”

India today became an associate member of the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN), the world’s largest nuclear and particle physics labaratory.

India today became an associate member of the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN), the world’s largest nuclear and particle physics labaratory.

The agreement was signed today by Sekhar Basu, Chairman of Atomic Energy Commission and Secretary of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), and CERN Director General Dr Fabiola Gianotti at the DAE’s office here.

Last year, the Union Cabinet green-lit the proposal for India officially entering the Geneva-based body, following which the CERN Council accepted India as an associate member.

India had ‘observer’ status till September this year, when the CERN Council adopted a resolution upgrading its position.

“There are three major activities going on in our laboratory– accelerators, detectors and computing. Indian scientist fraternity is good at all the three areas; hence we have taken decision to upgrade the status,” Gianotti told reporters here.

Becoming associate member of CERN will enhance participation of young scientists and engineers in various CERN projects. (AGENCIES)

Backbone of network of separatist leadership broken by the government

Backbone of network of separatist leadership broken by the government

Demonetization has dealt a severe blow to the network of separatist leadership in Kashmir valley.

Demonetization has dealt a severe blow to the network of separatist leadership in Kashmir valley.
Life returns to normalcy after 4 long months in kashmir valley Narendra Modi led Union government with active support from the Mehbooba Mufti led alliance government in Jammu and Kashmir has finally broken the backbone of network of separatist leaders as majority of residents across Kashmir valley have resumed their normal life after a gap of over four months.

The public transport and private vehicles also plied normally and street shops attracted lot of customers despite intense cold wave conditions.

Kashmir was observing complete shut down since July 9, a day after the Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani was killed by security forces in an operation in South Kashmir district of Anantnag.

The last two days saw resumption of normal business activity across all the district headquarters in the valley. The markets are expected to resume normal activity from Monday by defying separatist hartal call.

During the weekend markets were thrown open for full day and on Saturday majority of educational institutions resumed their normal activity. The public transport and private vehicles also plied normally and street shops attracted lot of customers despite intense cold wave conditions.

People were seen buying woollens and other winter wears to beat the nail biting chill.

Under pressure from the common will of the people of Kashmir even the separatist leaders had announced two day long relaxation in the hartal calendar for the first time in the 133 day long bandh call.

Hurriyat leaders looking for a face saving formula?

According to insiders in the separatist camp even the elite Hurriyat leadership was searching for an opportunity to resume normal activity.

Ever since the state police had announced crack down against the troublemakers in the Kashmir valley the law and order situation had started showing signs of normalcy since mid October.

Even in the absence of any incidents of stone pelting the majority of population was adhering to the hartal calendar. Sudden change on ground zero came to the fore after Modi govt launched a crackdown against the black money in circulation.

Counterfeit currency thrown out of the system

After the scrapping of 500 and 1000 currency notes even the counterfeit currency was thrown out of the system and the militant handlers and other separatist sympathisers channelising the street protests started facing fund crunch. This resulted in total shutdown of stone pelting industry thriving in the Kashmir valley at the behest of hawala money.

One of the aim behind demonetization was checking free flow of hawala money which is used to galvanise terror machinery in the Kashmir valley. Even the separatist leaders have been left stranded as they had allegedly amassed huge sums of money through ‘hawala’ conduits to sustain on going street protests.
Separatist leaders failed to impose their writ in Burhan Wani’s hometown?

Interestingly, the separatists failed to impose their writ even in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, the hometown of slain Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani.Normal life returned to normalcy even in his home town with markets remaining open and brisk business activity reported from various corners of the district.

According to police records at least 97 people including two cops were killed while over 15,000 others sustained injuries with over 700 of them hit by pellets fired by security forces.

The intensity of protests was gradually reducing in the area following a massive crackdown launched by police on protesters.

The state police spokesman claimed the shopkeepers in all major towns Anantnag, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Awantipora, Pampore, Bijbehara, Tral and Mattan witnessed huge rush of customers.
Mehbooba faces litmus test

Now it remains to be seen whether the Mehbooba Mufti led alliance govt in the state would be able to consolidate and tighten its grip over the state administrative machinery in the coming days and deliver better, transparent and more responsive government to the deprived people of the state.

As Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti would be facing litmus test once again as she not only faces the wrath of the people of Kashmir but resurgent opposition parties in the Kashmir valley who are eager to pull her down by exposing her poor governance and lack of administrative acumen which in first place created this situation in the Kashmir valley in the wake of killing of Burhan Wani.

On the other hand role of Narendra Modi led alliance govt also assumes added significance as the centre govt would have to extend hand of friendship to the people of Kashmir and restart the process of healing them and tackling the issue of Kashmir through a different prism.

Only 3 % against demonetisation;51 per cent say implementation good,79 per cent people said that they wouldn't mind the inconvenience caused by demonetisation move.

Eleven days after the demonetisation decision was announced, a survey says that only three per cent people oppose the move while 51 per cent believe that even the much debated implementation is good.

http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/demonetisation-localcircles-survey-support-government-implementation-good/1/814750.html

Highlights
1.Only 3 per cent people are against the demonetisation decision of the government.
2. LocalCircles conducted a survey by seeking responses from across 200 cities.
3.About 51 per cent found implementation of demonetisation good.

In a survey conducted by a citizen engagement social platform, only three per cent people opposed the very idea of demonetisation of high value currency to fight black money. Others were not against the government move.

The survey was conducted by LocalCircles, a citizen engagement social platform, which sought responses from over 9,000 people from across 200 cities of the country.

Around 51 per cent of respondents in the survey found the implementation of the currency demonetisation measure a good step. About 24 per cent people explicitly termed it poor.

Another 25 per cent called the implementation average.

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother, Heeraben Modi, visited a bank in Gujarat capital Gandhinahgar on Tuesday to exchange currency.

Nonagenarian Heeraben Modi, who had to use the help of a wheel chair and other people to reach the bank, exchanged Rs.4500 in currency after filling the required forms.

Wheelchair-bound Heeraben was assisted by slightly older women to the bank and was seen smiling for the cameras after she exchanged her old notes.

Her decision to go to the bank to exchange her currency gives the government run by her son, the much needed support and encouragement in the face of strident objections from some opposition parties such as the Congress, the Samajwadi Party, The Bahujan Samaj Party, the Communist Party of India-Marxist and the Trinamool Congress.

(Photo: ANI/Twitter)

It came on the day the Supreme Court is hearing several petitions challenging the government's decision to scrap Rs.500 and Rs.1000 currency notes.

Four Public Interest Litigations (PILs) have been filed against the controversial scheme, which has caused massive upheavals across the nation.

The PILs were filed in the apex court questioning the government's rational and modus operandi behind the implementation of the drive, as it has reportedly caused inconvenience to the general public.

A PIL was filed in the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad by advocate Pusala Venkata Krishnaiah, who alleged that a sufficient time frame had not been given for the transition and it would create unprecedented chaos and panic among the people.

(Photo: ANI/Twitter)

The PIL filed challenges the provision that is Sub-Section 2 of Section 26 of Reserve Bank of India 1934 Act claiming that there is no guidelines how to exercise the power available under the section.

According to sources, the Prime Minister who was chairing the BJP Parliamentary Party executive meeting, told attendees to not buckle under the opposition's pressure and go ahead with the Centre's policy.

Stating that the opposition was hard at work to sabotage the process of demonetisation, the Prime Minister assured that the nation has welcomed the step.

The Prime Minister's assertion comes in the wake of the all out attack launched by the opposition today, as the Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and the Samajwadi Party (SP) joined forces in tearing down the scheme of demonetisation.

(Photo: ANI/Twitter)

The petitioner said that time for such a huge change should have been given by the government.

Another PIL was filed before the Gujarat High Court which seeks to extend the date of validity for exchanging Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes and also directs private hospitals to accept old currency notes.

However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday ordered the government to go full ahead with demonetisation and ruled out any chance whatsoever of rolling back the scheme.

Drink water, get cancer? The significance of WATER

Drink water, get cancer?Bangalore Mirror Bureau | Oct 28, 2016, 11.37 AM IST http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/bengaluru/bengaluru-drink-water-get-cancer/articleshow/55109816.cms
BENGALURU: Scientists from multiple institutes conducted human health risk assessment caused by dissolved trace elements in river systems in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Cochin and concluded that arsenic in the study areas poses potential health risk to the residents and indicates that the "ingestion of water over a long time could magnify the probabilities of cancer".

"The results indicated arsenic as the most hazardous pollutant, which may cause non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic concerns, particularly in sensitive children.

Therefore, special attention should be paid to the issue of arsenic exposure for local residents, particularly children, and adequate measures need to be taken for sustaining a healthy aquatic ecosystem," said the research team from Manipal University, Karnataka, University of Madras and National Agriculture and Food Research Organisation, Japan.

"In aquatic ecosystems, trace elements play an important role, as some of them are essential to biological organisms at low concentration, but a few are toxic even at trace levels, for instance, arsenic, mercury, lead and cadmium. Since surface water forms a major drinking water source for human and other organisms, it is important to know both concentration and biogeochemical interactions of trace elements in aquatic systems. In south India, major industrial hubs are located in the metropolitan cities of Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Cochin; partially treated or untreated wastewater from such industries is discharged into various rivers and streams.

However, there is no active system for monitoring the water quality in these riverine systems, with regard to trace element concentrations. Therefore, the objectives of this study were to determine the concentration of various trace elements, and assess the related human health risk," said the research team.

They collected and assessed concentrations of 27 trace elements in surface water samples from 48 sites of waterways (lakes, canals, and tributaries of major rivers) in four states: Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Telangana. Analysis revealed that elements such as chromium, selenium, arsenic, iron, and manganese are the major pollutants, as their concentrations exceeded the acceptable national and international water quality standards in several sites of Vrishabhavathi, Ennore, Adyar, Cooum and Periyar rivers. Further, statistical analysis revealed that the Cauvery, Ennore, Adyar, Cooum and Periyar river basins are affected by various anthropogenic activities, leading to moderate-to-high pollution by arsenic, chromium, manganese, iron, and selenium. According to the scientists, potential pollution sources are industrial waste, sewage intrusion, paint industry waste, and automobile runoff.

"The data indicate that arsenic, chromium, copper, lead, cadmium, and vanadium concentrations are influenced by anthropogenic processes, including industrial waste, sewage, and automobile runoffs," they added.

To evaluate the impact on people in Karnataka and Bengaluru, in particular, the researchers focused on surface water samples from the upper Cauvery basin, which revealed that iron and manganese are the major contaminants in this area. ''Iron concentrations at all locations along the Vrishabhavathi river, a tributary of the Cauvery, which flows through Bengaluru city, are almost twice those recommended by World Health Organisation (WHO), United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), suggesting that this river is a major contamination route to the Cauvery riverine system," said the researchers. The highest iron concentration was recorded downstream Vrishabhavathi river. In addition, manganese concentrations at different locations along the Vrishabhavathi river are well above the USEPA criteria values, they concluded.

Experts said that exposure of human beings to trace metals could occur via three major pathways: ingestion, inhalation through mouth and nose, or absorption through skin. Since risk assessment identified "elevated concentrations" of arsenic at several sites, including those investigated in Karnataka, the researchers have said that immediate measures must be taken.
What is heavy metal poisoning from water, Health effects of heavy metals in drinking water

Some of the most dangerous chemicals in drinking water are known as 'Heavy metals'. Heavy meatals are chemical elements of the metal family with a specific gravity which is more than 5 times that of water. Some of the toxic heavy metals and their specific gravity are: Arsenic - 5.7, Cadmium - 8.65, Lead - 11.34 and Mercury -13.546. Another definition for heavy metals would be 'metallic elements with high molecular weight'. Water contamination with heavy metals happens when some of these heavy metals are dissolved in water.

If this water is consumed regularly, then it is poisonous to human beings even at very low concentrations. The common toxic heavy metals in water are Arsenic, Cadmium, Chromium, Lead and Mercury. Lead poisoning was the first cases of heavy metal poisoning that was understood by us. Lead poisoning became very common in the 19th century when lead pipes were in common use for the distribution of water.

Long term effects of heavy metal poisoning

Heavy metals bio-accumulate in the body, that is once absorbed by the human body it is not excreted or removed from the body, but keeps on accumulating in the body as more and more of the heavy metal is consumed by drinking heavy metal polluted water. Bioaccumulation of heavy metals is the main cause of toxicity to heavy metals, because human beings cannot get rid of the heavy metals consumed, which in small quantities are not that harmful.

Heavy metals causes severe damage including cancer, stunted growth, nerve damage, and possibly an early death. Children are the ones who suffer most from heavy metal pollution of water.
Heavy metal poisoning from well water

Heavy metal poisoning from well water became more common after the industrial revolution when industries started disposing of their process water without any treatment. The ground water thus becomes polluted with industrial waste water which can contain heavy metals. Now there are very strict restrictions on the disposal of waste water and the problem is reducing all over the world.

Heavy metal poisoning from well water can also happen due to naturally polluted well water. Acid rain can pollute ground water with heavy metals by making insoluble heavy metals in rocks and soils into soluble salts and release these salts into the ground water. So people drinking well water should be testing for heavy metals in water regularly, since well water can become contaminated with heavy metals just after one heavy rain. How to remove heavy metals from water is discussed in several of our pages dealing with water purification.
What are the most toxic heavy metals in water

These are the most dangerous toxic heavy metal pollutants in drinking water. It is of utmost importance to remove heavy metals from drinking water and how to remove heavy metals from water are discussed in several of our pages on this site.

Arsenic in drinking water

It is very unlikely that the Public water supplies being piped to your homes will have Arsenic in it. People who use well or bore well water have to be extremely careful. They must have their water tested in a good laboratory. Arsenic occurs naturally in rocks, soils, etc. and waters that come in contact with these rocks and soils become contaminated.

Arsenic is odorless and tasteless, so there is no way of knowing if your water is contaminated. Many parts of India have Arsenic problem, so it is highly recommended to test your well and bore well waters once every 6 months. Exposure to arsenic can cause severe damage to health. Arsenic poisoning is cumulative; meaning that even very minute amount of arsenic in the water is accumulated in the body over time. What this means is that the body continues to absorb arsenic without getting rid of any arsenic. If Arsenic contaminated water is drunk continuously, then in a few months or years you become very sick. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that the maximum level of arsenic in drinking water should not exceed 0.01 mg/L (10 ppb or parts per billion - a billion is a thousand times smaller than a million or 10 lakhs). So in effect they recommend that it should be zero.

Arsenic can be removed by oxidation with chlorine (Sodium Hypochlorite) or potassium permanganate or coagulation with ferric chloride and then filtering it. Activated alumina and ion exchange resins are also effective. The best choice to purify water containing Arsenic is Reverse Osmosis RO water purifier.

Hexavalent Chromium or Chromium-6 in drinking water

Chromium is actually a micro nutrient required by our body in minute quantity. This form of Chromium is the safe trivalent or 'Chromium-3'. Chromium also exists in another very rare form known as 'Hexavalent Chromium' or 'Chromium-6' which is very toxic for our body.

Hexavalent Chromium-6 is usually introduced into ground water when chemical industries using Chromium, discharge their water without proper treatment. Hexavalent Chromium-6 is poisonous and should be guarded against especially by people using well water. The famous movie "Erin Brockovich" starring Julia Roberts, is about Hexavalent Chromium-6 and its poisonous effect on some rural people. The Environment Protection Agency of USA – EPA has set the Maximum Contaminant Level – MCL of Chromium at 0.1 ppm (parts per million).

There are several methods of getting rid of Hexavalent Chromium-6 from water, but the simplest one is to use is an RO filter water purifier. RO water filter purifier for removing Chromium-6 in water is the most effective treatment.

Lead in drinking water

Lead is a heavy metal, and is harmful to health in the same way as mercury. Some of the older pipes and fittings contain lead. RO is effective in removing all heavy metal contaminants. RO water filter purifier for removing heavy metals like lead in water is the most effective treatment.

Mercury in drinking water
Mercury is a heavy metal and its compounds are sometimes found in the natural deposits of certain areas of India. Batteries, fluorescent or tube lights, CFL bulbs, etc. usually contains Mercury and it should not be disposed or thrown on the ground or anywhere near your water supply.

The maximum contaminant level for mercury set by BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), WHO (World Health Organization), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency of USA) and other well-known standards is in parts per billion or ppb. This very small negligible limit for mercury is so set, because it is a highly toxic chemical. Mercury causes kidney damage and also many other ill effects. Activated Carbon filters and RO can remove Mercury from water. RO water filter purifier for removing Mercury in water is the most effective treatment.

Best way to buy Water Purifiers in India

The best way to buy Water Purifiers in India is to first look at all models of Water Purifiers available online at the leading online Retailers in India.

For example on the online webpage of All Water Purifiersavailable in India on Amazon.in, you will find the full range of Indian Water Purifiers complete with their best discounted price and full specifications. This is great information, and you can decide on whic model of water purifier to buy. With the model of water purifier you want to buy finalised, you can go to local shops to try and find the model of water purifier you have chosen and see if you can get at similar price of that at Amazon.in. In most cases the price from Amazon will be cheaper, because they buy in bulk from the manufacturers direct and they sell huge volumes because they are the world's largest and most trusted online retailer. If you buy from Amazon, they will arrange to have the water purifier installed in your house, usually free of charge.

Warranty and other facilities offered through Amazon are usually better than what you can get from local agents of water purifiers.

Problems of RO Water Purifiers

The disadvantages and problems of RO water filters and purifiers are that it requires high water pressure and that some water is wasted in the reject stream. If there is not enough pressure in your pipeline then a small electric motor is required to pump the water to a high pressure. So RO water purifiers need electricity to work. Secondly, RO purifier wastes some water in its reject stream which carries all the concentrated impurities that was there in the water originally. But the benefits of RO water purifiers far outweigh these minor problems of RO water purifiers.

The biggest advantage of an RO water purifier is that you can drink RO water with closed eyes, confident of the fact that you are drinking pure water. More dangerous than any germ, bacteria or virus in water is if the water contains poison chemicals like Arsenic.

Arsenic and other poison heavy metal chemicals in drinking water slowly poison you, because our liver and kidneys cannot get rid of it, and so these poison chemicals build up in our body (Bio-accumulate) and when symptoms appear, it is usually too late for treatment. Heavy metal poisoning causes deformities, stunted growth and early death. Heavy metals in water, especially Arsenic in water, is known to occur in several parts of India. Heavy metal poisoning can also occur from leeching of heavy metals from water pipes, water tanks, etc.

The best protection against heavy metal poisoning is to have an RO water purifier. RO water purifier removes everything from water, all germs and viruses and also dissolved chemicals. Because RO water removes all chemicals from water, some people say that the essential minerals in water is lost. Even if this were true, it is better than being poisoned with heavy metals. You can get enough and more of essential minerals from the food we eat. Me, the author and owner of this website, has worked in the Middle East and other parts of the world as a water treatment specialist, always used an under-the-counter RO water purifier similar to what is shown in this page.

The other problem with RO water purifiers many say is that it wastes water. True, RO water purifiers waste about the same quantity of water as the pure water it produces. Thus when an RO water purifier purifies say 1 liter of water, it drains away about one liter of water, in which all the impurities are concentrated. So if you produce 10 liters of pure drinking water with an RO water purifier, it will waste about 10 liters of water, which is about one normal bucket full of water. If necessary this waste water from RO water purifier can be collected for other uses like watering plants or washing dishes, etc.

Is there any health problems with RO water? Why some say RO water is not good for health?

Claims that RO water is not good for health is made on three points, one that RO water has no essential minerals in it. Secondly they say that RO water is not good for health because it is too pure like distilled water. The third disadvantage claimed by some is that RO water is Acidic and thus is not good for health.

It is true that RO water filter removes all the impurities in water including all bacteria, germs and at the same time removes the dissolved salts in the water. So is there any truth in the claims that RO water is not good for health? does it mean that RO water has no minerals and is acidic and therefore, RO water is not healthy? This is not true!

Essential Minerals in Drinking water
You can never get enough essential minerals from drinking water alone. Minerals required by our body has to come from food we eat, not from the water we drink.

We will prove this to you by putting some figures to this. WHO (World Health Organisation) recommends that drinking water should not contain more than 500 ppm (parts per million) of TDS (Total Dissolved Solids). 500 ppm is the same as 500 milli-grams in a Litre of water. A liter of water weighs 1000 grams = 1,000,000 milli-grams (mg). Assume we drink 2 liters of water a day, so the total mineral content that can possibly be got in the worst drinking water is 1000 mg. (2 liters at 500mg per liter of water). Of this normally more than 60% will be the highly soluble sodium salts which are not an essential mineral - you get plenty of Sodium in your table salt. That leaves 400mg of mineral salts other than sodium in 2 liters of water. Assume it is all Calcium, an essential mineral, so the maximum Calcium salts you can get from drinking 2 liters of the worst possible hard water is 400 mg as Calcium bi-Carbonate, which equates to about 160mg as elemental Calcium. Eating one slice of bread or one chapatti will have more calcium - wheat flour is fortified with calcium in most countries.

We are talking about the worst possible drinkable hard water - If you have 200 ppm calcium in your water, it is very hard water which will not taste good. Other than Calcium, the other essential minerals you can get from water are things like iron, magnesium, etc. Iron, even in very small quantities like 1 ppm, makes the water discoloured and taste very bad. All water purifiers try their best to get rid of it. So to put it bluntly, it is impossible to get enough minerals required by our body from our drinking water. The essential minerals required by our body have to come from food.

One important point to mention here. The RO water filter is doing its job of purifying drinking water by getting rid of all the salts in the water. This includes all toxic chemicals like Arsenic, Mercury, Heavy metals, Nitrates, etc. which can cause great health damage. In this process of removing the poison chemicals from water, it also removes essential minerals. This loss of essential minerals in water is insignificant when you compare it with the benefits of being sure that your water is free from all poison chemicals.

So yes, RO water is too pure, like distilled water, without any minerals, but it is good for health because you are sure you are not getting any poison chemicals in your drinking water. You can get plenty of essential minerals from the food you eat. Also good RO water Purifiers have a remineralising cartridge which can add minerals to the pure RO water at the final stage to remineralise the RO purified water with purified essential minerals like Calcium.

RO Water is Acidic and so is it bad for health?

The water after being purified by an RO purifier does become acidic because Reverse Osmosis filtration removes the alkaline mineral atoms from salt molecules, for example the Calcium atom from the molecule of Calcium Bicarbonate is removed. What remains is Carbon Dioxide which forms H₂CO₃ or Carbonic acid, which is the same as soda water. All carbonated drinks like Pepsi or Coca Cola contains much more H₂CO₃ or Carbonic acid, than in the water produced by an RO water purifier.

Some consider Acidic water to be dangerous for health. The reason they say is because the H₂CO₃ or Carbonic acid in the water can strip away Calcium and other essential minerals from the body. But consider the fact that human stomach has much stronger acids like HCl or Hydrochloric Acid. If at all H₂CO₃ or Carbonic acid was in any way dangerous to human health, then you would not have Pepsi, Coca Cola and Soda water being sold freely all over the world.

Many RO water purifiers have a special cartridge containing purified alkali chemicals like Calcium carbonate, over which the purified RO water flows through before being delivered in the RO water purifier tap. This neutralises any acid in the RO water and will improve the taste of the RO water.

Essential Minerals can be added to RO water

RO water is like pure distilled water that is 100% water without any dissolved salts. All RO water purifier manufacturers are aware of this, so some RO water purifiers have a Cartridge called a remineraliser cartridge, filled with purified alkali essential mineral salts of Calcium and Magnesium, through which the pure RO water passes through. Thus the pure RO water dissolves some of the essential minerals from this remineralisation cartridge or an alkalizer to give alkaline RO water. The alkaline RO water is good for health.

Another method of adding mineral salts to purified RO water is to use a portion of the RO reject water to pass through an ultrafiltration cartridge and then blend it with the pure RO water through a blending valve. This is not a recommended method in areas where there are known contamination of poison chemicals like Arsenic, because the purified reject water used to reharden the RO water may contain Arsenic. So water purifier manufacturers who use this method of rehardening makes sure that your raw water does not have Arsenic or other such dissolved poison chemicals. Passing the RO water through the final remineralisation cartridge is the preferred method.

Water wastage in RO water purifier, how much water is wasted in RO water purifier

RO water purifiers waste some water while purifying the water. Reverse Osmosis process divides the incoming water into two streams - purified water stream and the reject water stream in which all the impurities that were in the original water is rejected. This process of separation and rejection of the impurities in water is done by the RO membrane.

The quantity of water wasted by an RO water purifier is about the same as the amount of pure water it produces. We say the RO has 50% recovery when it gives half the incoming water as pure water and the other half is wasted. The most inefficient RO will give at least one third of the feed water as purified water, which means the wasted water will be double the produced purified water. We are talking about the most inefficient RO water purifier here. Even this is not a big waste of water considering the benefits of the pure water you get. If the water wastage is a big problem, then the reject water tube of the RO water purifier can be put into a bucket and the water collected to use it for purposes like washing floors and watering garden.

Some RO water filter purifier manufacturers say no wastage of water in their RO water purifiers. What they do is to have a sperate tank into which the reject water of the RO water purifier is stored. You then use this water for purposes like cleaning the floor, watering plants, etc. You can reuse RO waste water by putting the reject RO waste water plastic tube into a bucket, instead of directing the RO waste water tube to the drain. The bucket will get filled as you use purified RO water and you can use the water in the bucket for other purposes where purified water is not necessary.

Maintenance cost of RO water purifier in India, annual maintenance contract of RO water purifier in India

The maintenance cost of RO water purifiers involves the changing of all the cartridge elements in the RO water purifier like the pre water filter cartridges, post carbon filter and remineralizer cartridge. It is advisable to change all cartridges in a RO water purifier including the membrane, once every year. RO water purifiers are the best water purifier with low maintenance cost considering the best quality of water you get.

When you buy the RO water purifier, the water purifier company that sold the water purifier to you, will usually offer an annual service contract to maintain the RO water purifier you bought from them. Normally the annual maintenance contract of RO water purifier in India is between 5 to 10% of the value of the RO water purifier, to be paid when they come to do the annual maintenance of the RO water purifier.

To reduce cost of maintenance of RO water purifiers it is advisable to put a large sediment filter prior to the intake of the RO water filter purifier. This is required to filter out the dust and mud particles that are in almost all water supply in India. Wall mount RO water purifiers have small pre filter cartridges which tend to get blocked quickly and limit the flow of water to the RO pump in the RO water purifier. This will reduce the efficiency of the RO water purifier. So a cheap external 10 inch pre-filter costing about Rs.300- to Rs.400- from the large selection of 10 inch pre-filters on Amazon.in, is highly recommended for any RO water purifier in India, especially for wall mounted RO water purifiers. This 10 inch pre-filter can be mounted away and hidden from the main purifier in a convenient location.

LIVING WATER -- CAPT AJIT VADAKAYIL
http://ajitvadakayil.blogspot.in/2011/01/living-water-capt-ajit-vadakayil.html

Today myself and my wife watched a TV programme on History Channel. It was about a camera crew trek to Gangotri Himalayas to Gaumukh the source of the sacred Ganges river .

Above: The source of the holy Ganges river -- from a hole

The white water came out of a hole in the ground—see the pictures.

My wife asked me—“Why is the water white? Is it dirty?”

I told here “ It is electrically charged nano size colloids of Himalayan rock salt. This is what makes the Ganges water LIVING WATER. This low surface tension water contains all the 83 odd minerals required by the human body in the correct dosage, to take it to the correct vibrational state where all cells dance in harmony".

"300 million years ago, this was at the bottom of the sea, and was churned up when two continents banged against each other at the end of the great continental drift. This water is highly alkaline and has an extraordinary amount of hydrogen with an extra electron, to neutralize damaging free radicals , which cause DNA damage, diseases and ageing. It holds high amounts of silver colloids , is highly sunbathed and oxygenated , and is indeed bio-energised miracle water”.

Immediately she says happily “ I want to go there!”

Low surface tension water ( normal is 73 dynes ) can store information for healing in its vibratory structure. It easily penetrates the 75 trillion cells and mitochondrial membranes, to supply nutrients and flush away toxins.

As we grow old our bodies are NOT able to absorb water into the cells. We are more than 70% of water.
Ganges water has been kept in copper pots at the Shiva temple at Rameshwaram and has NOT developed algae and bacteriafor centuries.

Ageing is a gradual process of acid waste accumulation. Wastes like lactic acid are insoluble in neutral water.

Nowadays in hospitals in Japan they use Electrical Ionisers to produce ionized water. Distilled water or DI water ( de-ionisded water ) cannot be ionized. Ionization converts minerals into colloidal form, which can be easily absorbed by the human body. In Japan they use it in bars to mix with alcohol and the Japs swear that they don’t get a hangover.

Evian water is expensive –but it is good for you. It is Ionised natural spring water with small cluster sizes. I tell my son at Cornell university USA — "the days you have to spend long night hours in the lab doing Computer graphic projects— drink some invigorating Evian water. It refreshes the brain and changes the way you think for the better and can also de-stress , within 15 minutes" .

One small bottle of Evian water is better than drinking 5 times the amount of tap cooler water. I tell him to keep away from US Flourinated and chlorinated water, like the plague, as they have terrible side effects. At home we have our own well with fishes inside which gives sparkling living water.

Ionised water is structured water with hydrogen bonding and have positive polarity. All other waters are negative in polarity. Majority of people have died after living their lives on this planet by never drinking living water.

Now I must tell you why ancient indian rishis drank water from copper lotas ( pots ). They cleaned the copper pot with tamarind and then filled it up with living Ganges water, the previous day and drank it the next day morning.

This cleaning with tamarind causes copper colloids to leach into the water overnight. Algae, viruses , E coli and many other pathogens are killed. This anti-oxidant water takes care of free radicals and hence is anti-inflammatory.. There is NO need to boil the water. This water makes your sperm more potent. This water can cure sinus like magic . It takes care of Hypertension too.

Of course another use was to use this water laden lota for resonant quantum coupling .

WATER VALLEY AND WALKING ON WATER-- CAPT AJIT VADAKAYIL
http://ajitvadakayil.blogspot.in/2010/11/water-valley-and-walking-on-water-capt.html

If you make the sound "Om" in front of a drop of liquid, it will transform itself into a Sri Yantra which is very specific visual form which is symmetrical and also holographic, in that every bit of it contains all of it.

Molecules of water are affected by our thoughts, words, and feelings. The average electron density around the oxygen atom in a water molecule is about 10 times that around the hydrogen atoms. This non uniform distribution of positive and negative charges or strong DIPOLE present in water leads to the substance’s unusual behavior.

A single molecule of water looks like a letter V at an angle of 105 deg , with one oxygen atom at the bottom point and two hydrogen atoms at the top. These atoms share some of their negatively charged electrons, forming a strong connection called a covalent bond. THIS DIPOLE CAUSES IMMENSE SCALAR ENERGY TO USHER IN AND OUT OF ZERO POINT FIELD.

All water crystals have 6 branches--but NO two are alike. If you reduce the surface tension of water from 75 dynes / cm 2 to 65 then the angle changes from 105 to 120. This water is good for the human body.

All Hindu temples are located near a water body. The properties of Ganges water and Zam Zam water from Mecca is well known.

Even a small amount of water has enough cluster structures available to absorb whole libraries of information ( theertham in a rishi’s copper lota ).

I would not be surprised if in the future Silicon valley is renamed as Water valley. For water can store information about substances that were once in it but that have physically disappeared. Latest generation computer robotic research is investigating water's capacity to order and transmit information, as an improvement to silicon. Water should be the source of energy in the future via energy carrier hydrogen.

Water is the very source of all life . The quality of our life depends on it. 97% of water on this planet is salt water. Out of the balance 3% fresh water, 2/3 is ice.

Water is colourless, odourless and tasteless at room temperature.

Water covers 70 percent of Earth’s surface, makes up 65% of the human body. Brain is 83% water, blood-92%, kidneys - 82%, liver-69% , muscles-75%, bones-28%.

50 to 90% weight of living organisms is water.

Our brain stores information in the holographic form. Every cell in our body carries all information to produce a copy.

Without water, the blood wont move. A human being will die within 3 days of being deprived of water, as cells, blood and tissues are deprived of the water content. Water is the lubricant of all moving parts in the body. All cells are water cooled.

In homeopathy the information copied to the water is being used to cancel out the information of the symptoms from the disease -- a wave cancellation effect. Water is the master listener in the universe -- and you are mostly water. The gravity of the moon affects the tides just like the periods of a woman.

Water has an unusually large heat capacity, requiring a lot of energy to increase its temperature. This characteristic prevents Earth from getting too hot or too cold, and it slows the temperature changes in oceans, biological cells, and tissues, making conditions possible for life. Water is one of the best known solvents .

Liquid water absorbs radiation of all wavelengths, except a narrow window in the visible (photochemical) waveband. This window is critical for photolysis and directly or indirectly influences the development of all life on Earth.

Water’s high thermal conductivity speeds up heat redistribution in living tissues, which helps protect the body from uneven heating and cooling, whether such changes are caused by metabolic processes or external mechanisms.

Though water freezes at zero deg C , however if it is kept inside the capillaries which have the dimensions less than a hair thickness, it will remain fluid even at a very low temperature below zero. In areas of the earth where water freezes at night and thaws again in the morning, we find the toughest rocks splitting and being broken down. Ice melts when slight pressure is applied, but under high pressure, liquid freezes. If you open a bottle of pressurized soda water, it will freeze instantly. Water is the only substance that has its highest density as a liquid.

Water also has a high heat of vaporization, so a lot of energy from the Sun is needed to turn liquid water into vapor. It takes four times as much energy to heat a given mass of water by 1°C as it does to heat the same mass of dry air. Perspiration is the most effective way to cool the human body. Water bodies in the tropics don't get evaporated so quickly.

As temperature increases, a substance’s density generally decreases. But pure water is an exception to this rule—it is the only known substance that has its highest density as a liquid. It is the only natural substance found in all three states -- solid, liquid and gas -- within the range of natural Earth temperatures.

It has very high surface tension (helping it move through roots and capillaries -- vital to maintaining life on Earth) and is virtually incompressible. Because of the internal tension of water it can drag itself upwards through tall trees without breaking off in its upwards flow. This upwards flow is caused by the water flowing out of the leaves into the air, pulling more water up as it does so . The high surface tension of water - its tendency to fight being pulled apart - explains why it forms droplets and why it climbs up the sides of a straw.

A well-known anomaly of water is that its density is highest at four degrees Celsius above the freezing point. Thus, ice floats on water, whereas the solid state of other compounds would sink in their liquids. This permits life to survive safely under the ice during freezing weather. Ice would sink to the bottom of the sea otherwise , away from the melting warmth of the sunshine. Unlike other liquids, water expands in freezing.Completely pure water is a poor conductor of electricity

Water is the universal medium for all biological activity; it dissolves, dilutes, transports, and reacts with every chemical essential for life. Cell-associated water (vicinal water) has different properties than ordinary water. It is less dense, requires more energy to heat, has greater viscosity, and different phase change temperatures.

The most mysterious and controversial property of water, however, is its ability to hold and store memory. This property underlies the healing capability of homeopathy. A homeopathic solution usually in water is produced via a series of dilutions of a substance, often until effectively no atoms of the original material remain. Only an imprint or memory remains for the cure, and the greater the dilution, the greater the effectiveness. The experiments showed that the immune system can be triggered using hundred times dilutions of an aqueous solution of an antibody.. If water has a memory then the water we drink is transferring its memory into our "water body," just like a homeopathic solution does.

Human vibrational energy, thoughts, words, ideas and music, affect the molecular structure of water, The body is very much like a sponge and is composed of trillions of chambers called cells that hold liquid. In this sense water not only has the ability to visually reflect the environment but it also molecularly reflects the environment. Miracle waters have been discovered throughout the world and have been responsible for thousands of unexplainable healings.

Water registers precise molecular information about the world around it, and that is extremely sensitive to these frequencies coming into it.Water remembers, or stores this information, and that it can transport this into new environments when it travels through various water cycles. The oceans have a water cycle where vast internal rivers, that we call ocean currents, flow through all the salt waters of our world, carrying warm and cold waters to affect various countries' weather patterns, flora and fauna.

These enormously powerful currents dive down kilometers deep into the watery darkness when they cool near the ice caps and then rise again thousands of miles away in warm waters, spreading food worldwide for what used to be a stupendously rich marine life. Water can wipe out previous molecular energy information and start afresh, starting anew in the present moment to receive the latest upgrade, so to speak. Water appears to have a type of thinking capacity within itself as a freely moving liquid without a nervous system needing to be formed. Water responds to subtle events even far out in the cosmos and that it is a far more sensitive medium for reception .

It is also known that water receives cosmic radiation as extreme low frequencies everywhere, even deep down five kilometres below the sea, creating resonances or vibrations that are healing and healthy for nature since the world began. the moon, the sun and even the stars communicate with water, and our earth itself is retuning its resonances constantly to this influx. Water molecules group together in vast numbers of unusually long 'cluster structures', and these can vibrate like a musical instrument receiving and giving off a wide variety of differing frequencies.

Water has high dielectric constant or relative permitivity of 81. This means the force of attraction between ions is 81 times lesser in water than in vacuum, and this allows them to separate. High dielectric constant is equivalent of high insulating properties, to lower the attraction between oppositely charged ions, once they are solvated.. Thus, water is a powerful solvent and a medium for biochemical reactions. It is the universal solvent, being one of the best solvents we have, with 84 out of the known 103 elements on this planet being dissolved by it.

If you get pure coherent water flowing fast enough it can cut metal. Water jets are able to cut because the spray is channeled through a very narrow jeweled nozzle at a very high pressure to keep the spray coherent. Unlike metal cutters, a water jet never gets dull and it cannot overheat.. The latest machines can cut to within less than a half a mm, and have jet speeds around Mach 3.

The nozzle is a diamond hole. A water jet can cut a "sandwich" of different materials up to four inches thick. This odorless, dust-free and relatively heat-free process can also cut something as thin as half a mm. The tiny jet stream permits the first cut to also be the final finished surface. This single cutting process saves material costs and machining costs. The water pressure is typically around 4000 bars.

A water jet can strip paint at a distance of 15 metres of if you alter the chemistry of plain water by adding a soluble polymeric chemical that acts like a series of molecular spinal columns or concrete reinforcement bars that tie the individual water molecules together in a more structured way to form a coherent jet.

Abrasive water jets , using diamond powder abrasive, cut into the hard hull of the submarine Kursk to recover the bodies of the Russian crew . This abrasive jet has an internal ruby orifice to produce a thin dia jet of water capable of cutting materials over half a metre thickness of steel while producing a taper of less than 1 degree with Ultra High Pressure Water of 6000 bars produced by a Water jet Intensifier Pump

Nobel prize winner Alex Carrel (who kept a chicken heart tissue alive for 37 years) had said that the secret of life is to feed and nourish the cells and let the flush the waste and toxins. To achieve toxin release efficiently with minimum quantity of water you must lower the surface tension of water from 73 dynes to 45 dynes. You can drink a large quantity of high tension water, -- it is NO use.

If you drink water that’s harmonious to the human body, water will pass through the body within ten to 15 minutes. The (harmonious) water will carry out toxins. Ordinary water has a surface tension of 73 dynes per centimeter, our body cells require 45 for fast permeation and hydration. If the ST is too high, the cell drowns in its own waste products as there will be less flushing action. Scalar energy from the DNA of healers reduce the surface tension of water, and make the pH of the water more alkaline.

The oxygen atom grabs more of the shared electrons, which makes it slightly negative, leaving the hydrogen ends slightly positive. This small shift in charge is what attracts water molecules to each other.

The hydrogen atoms within each water molecule are strongly drawn toward the oxygen atoms in neighboring molecules. In fact, the hydrogen partners are so fickle that a water molecule changes partners ten billion to a hundred billion times a second. Water appears to be H 1.5 O rather than H2O ( hence the fantastic dissolving action ).

No one understands, why liquid water is able to carry so much heat . Water has a large heat capacity; it can take in a lot of heat without its temperature increasing very much. This makes it an especially good coolant for a car radiator, and it's the main reason temperatures are moderate for coastal communities - as the ocean is slow to cool down or warm up.

Water, sanctified by chanting mantras or by bathing an idol is known as theertham. ’Living water’ is an organized state of matter and energy, and capable of storing and transmitting information. Water in everything we eat or drink carry with it a subtle informational content that imparts a "memory" into our "water body." The visual images that we encounter, the sounds that we hear, and our thoughts are encoded into the water of our cells to become a part of our unconscious mind.

Molecules of water are affected by our thoughts, words, and feelings. The implications go beyond homeopathy and ’energy medicine" and into the interaction between water and consciousness.

Water has a memory in which it stores information about the surrounding sounds, chemicals and even human emotions. Water retains information, even after the most stringent purification and filtration processes The memory is stored in clusters of H20 molecules that are formed when several molecules join together.

Our thoughts and expectations broadcast energy like a radio station that influence matter on the subatomic quantum level. If you intend that quantum particles should act or behave in a certain way, they will do as you intend. If another man thought they should behave in a completely different way, they did just that as well. In other words, the very particles that make up our physical reality changed and responded according to the specific thoughts of the observing individual’s expectations.

The water molecule is not linear but bent in a special way. As a result, part of the molecule is negatively charged and part positively charged.

The hydrogen ion is positively charged. A water ioniser changes the hydrogen ion into a negative charge. Free radicals are a natural byproduct of cellular function. Free radicals expel an electron, and the extra electron damages neighboring cell nuclei and DNA, setting the stage for improper cell division and replication.

The chemistry of life is water chemistry. Without water's capacity to store and share information as different vibrating frequencies in an extraordinary manner, living cells would not be able to communicate with each other .

We worry about taking a external bath—how about taking a proper internal bath? --for water is the universal medium for all biological activity; it dissolves, dilutes, transports, and reacts with every chemical essential for life.

The water we drink is 3 billion years old.

Water can propagate fast moving 5th dimension antigravity soliton waves, maintaining its shape and velocity without dissipating its energy ( example- tsunami ).

Hot water can be frozen faster than cold water-- Spray a fine mist of boiling water in sub zero temperatures and you get instant snow. When water is cooled to < minus 135 deg C it forms a syrup called glassy water.

Water blessed by healers have minor shifts in its molecular structure and decreases hydrogen bonding between the molecules, similar to what happens when water is exposed to magnets.

Water can act as a acid as well as a base. water is amphiprotic or ampholytic and can act as an acid ( by losing an H+ion ) and as base (by gaining an H+ ion).

An oxygen atom has six electrons in its outer (valence) shell, which can hold a total of eight. When an oxygen atom forms a single chemical bond, it shares one of its own electrons with the nucleus of another atom and receives in return a share of an electron from that atom. When bonded to two hydrogen atoms, the outer electron shell of the oxygen atom is filled.

You can use a water drop like in the picture as a spherical lens –and can project all bacteria inside using a laser beam as a monstrously large shadows show on a screen behind.

Sonoluminescence -- or spectacular conversion of sound to light , happens when water is bombarded by intense light waves creating air bubbles which rapidly contract and implode with a flash of light. There is a Hollywood Morgan Freeman movie on this --CHAIN REACTION. In the movie a spherical glass cage is resonated by harmonious sound waves of 20 KHz. Then a very tiny air bubble is blown into the centre, where it implodes at temperatures of 30000 deg C. The light comes from the zero point field.

Want to walk on water like Jesus Christ? Increase the shear of water by using a transparent medium. and you can have everybody amazed and praying to you . First try it in your kitchen soup. Add 2 parts of corn starch to 1 part of water. Your fingers still will detect it like water. But give an abrupt punch--it will bounce you hand back like a solid trampoline--or rather a viscoelastic membrane.
